Islamabad: In Pakistan, the government has once again decided to increase diets and petrol prices. According to the Finance Department, as per the issue released Monday night, the federal government has announced the increase in petroleum products. Due to which petrol price will cost Rs 8.36 per liter and high-speed diesel (HSD) per liter. Petrol price has increased from Rs 258.43 per liter to Rs 26,8.79 per liter, while the HSD has more than Rs 262.59 per liter. New rates have been applied immediately from July 1.
Pakistan prices have been increased after oil and gas regulatory authority (OGra) and the recommendations of Ogra) and the concerned ministries. The government said that Diesel and Petrol prices rise in the international marketplace in the international market, which has affected oil prices around the world. Fuel prices reviewing fuel prices are done every fortnight. In which petrol and diesel prices are determined on international oil prices and changes in the local currency exchange rate.
Earlier, on June 15, the Pakistan government had also increased the prices of petroleum products from Rs 7.95 per liter. On the basis of oil and gas regulatory authority (OGra) and the recommendations of the dependent ministries, the price of petrol was increased by Rs 4.95 per liter.
On the other hand, Ogra has also issued a notification for domestic and other consumer categories, new rates will be effective from July 1, 2025. In this step, inflation will have more financial pressures on the affected citizens, as in some categories domestic gas expenses have increased to 50% in domestic gas expenses.
