PM Modi and Amit Shah reached Chandigarh, reviewed three new criminal laws


Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah arrived in Chandigarh on Tuesday. He reviewed the recently implemented 3 new criminal laws Indian Penal Code, Indian Civil Defense Code and Indian Evidence Act at Punjab Engineering College (PEC). Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria was also present on the occasion.

Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur showed the exhibition to PM Modi, Amit Shah and Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria. The PM was informed about the process from registration of case to investigation and how the accused are kept in jail.

Police officials told the Prime Minister that 900 FIRs have been registered in Chandigarh under the new laws. Decision has also been taken in 4 cases. All police stations have been computerized. New technology has come to the police. Women, children and the elderly are being continuously made aware. People will not have to push for justice.

The new laws have given people the right to file their complaints in any language. It is not necessary for them to have knowledge of Hindi or English. His complaint will be made in the police station. People will be able to sit anywhere and register their complaint. They will not have to go round the police stations.

Police officers showed the Prime Minister how to solve cases. The scene of the murder was shown in front of the PM. What is the next step of the police after receiving the information from the control room? From gathering evidence and facts to how facts are used, the forensic team, artificial intelligence and modern technology will be used. A court has also been constituted to explain the case, in which the process from the trial to the punishment of the accused has been explained.
