Smartphone Power Button: We often restart our Android phone but have you ever wondered what happens if the power button stops working? Now there is no need to worry, because many Android phones like Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy have such software features with the help of which you can easily restart the phone even without any physical button.
Restarting the phone regularly is important as it removes temporary files, refreshes the memory, fixes app errors and helps the system run smoothly.
Restart from Quick Settings Panel
This is the easiest method and works in almost every Android device. Swipe up twice from the top of the screen to open the entire Quick Settings panel. Here you will see the Power icon (its location depends on the phone brand and Android version). Tap this icon and then select Restart. Now your phone will restart automatically without any button.
Restart immediately from Accessibility Menu
If your power button has completely failed then Accessibility Menu can help you.
- Settings → Accessibility → Accessibility Menu में जाएं.
- After turning it on, a small floating icon will appear on your screen.
- Tapping on this icon will reveal many controls including power options.
- Now just tap on Restart and your phone will restart.
This feature is exclusively available in the Google Pixel series (like Pixel 9) but is not available in some Samsung devices (like Galaxy S22 Ultra).
