In connection with the Prakash Gurpurab of the tenth Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee organized Nagar Kirtan from Sri Akal Takht Sahib today. On the occasion of the commencement of Nagar Kirtan organized under the umbrella of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and led by five lovers, Chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Jathedar of Akal Takht, Giani Raghbir Singh decorated the holy form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Palki Sahib. . Gatka and band parties attended on this occasion and Shabdi Jathas sang Guru Jas in praise of Guru Sahib. Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh congratulated the Sangat on Guru Sahib’s Prakash Gurpurab and said that the life of Sri Guru Gobind Singh is auspicious and inspiring in the religious history of the world. He encouraged the Sangat to connect with Bani and Bani by getting the Bakhshe Khande Bate blessed by Guru Sahib.
After starting from Sri Akal Takht Sahib Nagar Kirtan Bazar Mai Seva, Bazar Kathian, Bazar Papad, Bazar Bansan, Chowk Chatti Khohi, Chawal Mandi, Dal Mandi, Dhab Vasti Ram, Jora Pippal, Bazar Luhara, Chowk Lachmansar, Chowk Baba Sahib , Chowk Paragdas and other places received a warm welcome from the Sangat. During Nagar Kirtan, Jathedar of Akal Takht Giani Raghbir Singh, Chief Grantri of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh, Member of Shiromani Committee Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Bhai Ram Singh, Member of Dharma Prachar Committee Bhai Ajaim Singh Pratap Singh, Secretary Pratap Singh, Additional Secretary Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Sri Darbar Sahib Manager Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, other officials and a large number of devotees participated.
