Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today visited the place adjacent to GT Road located at Ranjit Avenue E Block, where a temporary garbage dump is being built. He said that about 11 acres of this land is adjacent to posh colony of the city. Dhaliwal said that lakhs of people passing through this GT road daily and residents of adjacent colonies are getting disturbed due to this garbage dump. He said that such people should be dealt with strictly, who are piling garbage in such public places. Meanwhile, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh assured that the garbage is being lifted from the houses located in the big streets of the city, now we are also reaching the small streets with small vehicles. With this, there will be no chance of throwing garbage at such places in the future. Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni, Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and other senior officials were present on this occasion.
