Punjab govt buy farmers’ crops at minimum support price: Saini

Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Friday said that all the crops of farmers in Haryana are being bought at the minimum support price and the Punjab government should also come forward and declare that it is an AAP-ruled state. Farmers’ crops will be purchased at the minimum support price.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a handicraft exhibition here, Saini said that the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the welfare of farmers during the last 10 years is historic. In response to a question about Jagjit Singh Dallewal, the farmer leader of Punjab who is on death fast, he said that the minimum support price for every farmer is like the fundamental right to live.

Saini said that when the farmers of Punjab are facing difficulties, the Punjab government should come forward and announce that it will purchase the farmers’ crops at the minimum support price. In Haryana we are buying all the crops of the farmers at minimum support price and the state government is taking every step that empowers the farmers.
