On the complaint of Municipal Corporation Ludhiana Additional Commissioner Paramdeep Singh, Division No. 5 police has registered an FIR against unknown accused. When the police started investigation, many Municipal Corporation employees came under the scanner.
The owner of the building took stay from the court
The owner of the building has already taken a stay from the court after the Municipal Corporation started investigating the building. Building bylaws have allegedly been violated in the construction of the building. Due to missing important files related to the building, the Municipal Corporation will not be able to pursue the case in Ludhiana Court.
The files of this controversial building were stolen.
The Additional Commissioner has said in his complaint that the Municipal Corporation Commissioner has asked to present the files related to the buildings before him. It was learned that the files related to the case have been handed over to Hardev Singh, an employee posted in the Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s office, in the presence of Assistant Town Planner (ATP, Zone A) Madanjit Singh Bedi.
He further said that Building Inspector (Technical) Kirandeep Singh, along with the personal assistant of the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, tried to find the files for a few days, but they could not be found.
SI Balbir Singh had received the complaint on 16th December.
Sub-Inspector Balveer Singh, who is investigating the case, said that he had received the complaint on December 16. On Tuesday, the police registered an FIR under section 305 of the BNS (theft at places like house, vehicle, religious place and government property). The Sub-Inspector said that the police will also involve the concerned Municipal Corporation employees in the investigation.
