CIA-1 team has arrested 4 fake journalists in Ludhiana, Punjab. Police have also recovered a stolen car from the accused. The arrested accused used to travel in a stolen car pretending to be journalists.

Not only this, the accused kept the mic ID of a fake web channel in the car. So that they can survive during the police blockade. These four fraudsters along with the stolen car have been caught by the police. Police say that the accused had stolen the car from Haryana.

Police tag on car windscreen

The accused had also put a police tag on the windscreen of the car. When the police stopped them for checking, the accused tried to intimidate the police by pretending to be journalists of a web channel. Upon search, the police recovered a fake identity card and a microphone with the logo of a web channel from them.

The accused have been identified as Shubham Rana alias Bablu, resident of Guru Nanak Nagar, Daba Lohara Road, Davinder Singh, Pankaj Kumar and Talvinder Singh, resident of New Azad Nagar.

ADCP said- stolen bike also recovered

ADCP Amandeep Singh Brar said that after receiving the information, the police arrested the accused from near Transport Nagar. Police have recovered a bike from them, which they had looted from a local person on December 12.

Based on the information received from the accused, the police have recovered a Brezza car from them. Police came to know that the accused had stolen the car from Faridabad in 2022. A case of theft has been registered against the accused in Sector 31 police station of Faridabad. The accused had put a fake number plate on the car.

Used to work as recovery agent for banks

ADCP Brar said that the accused used to work as recovery agents for various banks. Later they formed a gang and started committing snatching and vehicle theft incidents. During interrogation, the accused told that to avoid police checking, they had put the police logo on the windshield of the car.

He had also bought fake identity cards and the logo of a web channel to impress the police. An FIR has been registered against the accused at Moti Nagar police station under sections 304 (3) (5) and 317 (2) of the Indian Penal Code. More important information is expected from the accused.
