In Ludhiana, the administration has now started taking strict action against those spreading filth in Budha Darya. Police of Police Station Division No. 7 have registered an FIR against 8 dairy operators. These dairy operators are accused of directly dumping dairy waste in Budha Darya.

The police have registered a case under Section 70(3),70(5),70(12) of the Northern India Canal and Drainage Act 1873 against these dairy operators for polluting the environment.
Case registered against these dairy operators
The dairy operators have been identified as Surinder Kumar Roumi, Dharma Gujjar, Mangal Dairy, Bunty Dairy, Manga Sehgal, Bhushan Dairy, Joni Dairy, Sonu Dairy residents of Tajpur Road. Police are also conducting raids to arrest the accused.
According to sources, these dairy operators had got underground pipe fitting done. From where the waste was being dumped directly into Budha Darya. The administration got the pipes excavated a few days ago and uprooted them.
Let us tell you that car service has also been started by Sant Seenchewal on Budda Darya. The government is now making every possible effort to keep Budda River clean. It is certain that those dyeings built near Budda River are directly dumping chemical laden water into Budda River. A list of these dyeings is also being prepared by the administration.
