Focal Point Police in Ludhiana, Punjab has solved a murder mystery by arresting two laborers. According to the police, the person who died was a Tantrik. One of the accused who was caught by the police suspected that his father died due to witchcraft.

Both the accused, who have been identified as Rahul Kumar and Mohammad Baseer, residents of Visakha Colony, Dhandhari Khurd, fell into the trap of the police. The accused have confessed to their crime during police interrogation.
Rahul is a resident of Bhojpur in Bihar, while his partner Mohammad Baseer is a resident of Badaun in Uttar Pradesh. The deceased Brijesh Saho (31) was a resident of Tikamgarh in Madhya Pradesh and lived in Dhandari Khurd here. Along with practicing magic, he also worked as a laborer in a factory.

SHO Inspector Amandeep Singh Brar of Focal Point police station said that on December 20, a dead body of a person was found in a vacant plot. Police have registered an FIR against unknown accused and started investigation. On December 23, police identified the victim as Brijesh Sahu. Meanwhile, the police came to know that he was last seen with Rahul Kumar and his associate Mohammad Baseer. The police surrounded them. During interrogation the accused confessed to their crime.
According to SHO Brar, Rahul Kumar told that he used to help Brijesh Sahu in practicing witchcraft. But her father Meghnath was against it and he stopped her from hanging out with Brijesh. Due to which he started following his father. One day Brijesh came to his house in his absence and beat his father. During this time he also did some magic on his father. Rahul Kumar told that his father fell ill and was sent to Bihar for treatment, where he died on 6 November.
Father told son about beating
Before his death, his father had told him about the incident when Brijesh beat him and he used some witchcraft on them. Rahul told that he had returned to Ludhiana on 17 December. Inspector Brar told that Rahul told that Brijesh asked about his father’s death on the phone and shamelessly said that he will eat chicken tonight. This enraged him and he conspired to murder Brijesh.
On December 19, he was murdered by slitting his throat under the influence of alcohol.
SHO Brar said that on December 19, he along with Mohammad Baseer met Brijesh near a liquor vend, he was already drunk. He bought a bottle of liquor and took it to an empty plot. After drinking alcohol, they caught hold of Brijesh and slit his throat.
They threw the body in the plot and fled. The Inspector said that an FIR has been registered against the accused in the Focal Point police station under sections 103 and 3 (5) of the BNS.
