The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) produced a brilliant performance to clinch the title by defeating Gujarat by 56 runs in the final of the Men’s Under-23 State ‘A’ Trophy.
This decision will be made by Kolkata’s J.U. Played at the second campus, Salt Lake, PCA set a mammoth target of 317 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Harnoor Singh scored 100 runs off 103 balls with a brilliant century that included 10 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Uday Saharan played a remarkable captaincy knock of 59 runs off 75 balls, which included 3 fours and 2 sixes. Ridham Satyavan hit 5 fours and 3 sixes while playing a stormy innings of 68 runs off 39 balls.
In reply, the Gujarat team fought hard but were bowled out for 261 runs.
