One person has been pulled out from the debris after the collapse of a multi-storey building in Mohali. Have taken him to the hospital.
A multistorey building collapsed in Mohali, Punjab on Saturday evening. According to NDRF officials, 5 people were buried under the debris. There are 3 boys and 2 girls among them. A girl has been thrown out.

No formal information has been received about the condition of the injured girl. Army teams along with NDRF are conducting rescue operations on the spot. Debris is being removed from the incident site with the help of JCB machines. Dog squad team has also arrived.
The incident occurred near Gurudwara Sohana Sahib at around 4:30 pm. According to people, this building was about 10 years old. Excavation of the basement was going on next to it, due to which the foundation of the building became weak and it collapsed. The gym is reported to have been open at the time the building collapsed.
Gym trainer Keshav said that since it is Saturday, not many people come to the gym. There was a boy who was thrown out. There were gyms on 3 floors of the building, and rooms on the remaining 2 floors. Where people lived on rent. Register is kept at the entry counter. In which everyone has entry. Mohali’s SDM Damandeep Kaur said that the local people were telling that about 15 people were buried.
After the building collapsed, debris spread all around. Rescue operation was started by calling JCB machines.
AAP MP said- Youth were exercising in the gym Anandpur Sahib MP Malvinder Kang said that it was found that there was a gym here, where youth used to come to exercise. It is not yet clear whether anyone was in it at that time or not. Currently teams are engaged in rescue.
