Punjab News: During an encounter with the Batala police late last night near village Nath, a gangster was killed while one of his accomplices and a policeman were injured. The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Singh Rana, resident of village Mardi.

According to the police, the deceased was working for gangsters Prabh Dasuwal and Doni Ball, who were running gangs from abroad, and many cases of murder and other serious crimes are registered against him in many police stations.

Giving information to reporters late at night, DIG Border Range Satinder Singh said that during a roadblock set up by the Rangar Nangal police station, when the police signaled the youth riding on a motorcycle to stop, they fired at the police and ran away. tried

In the retaliatory action taken by the police, a gangster Ranjit Singh was injured due to bullet injury, who was admitted by the police to Civil Hospital Batala where the doctors declared him brought dead. He said that Ranjit Singh Rana is said to be the right hand of terrorist Prabh Dasuwal and gangster Doni Bal living abroad.

He said that Ranjit Singh was wanted in the case of the murder of Aarti Ram Gopal in Kasba Harike recently and is also nominated in the case of the murder of Rajwinder Singh alias Raj Gill, Sarpanch of village Talwandi Mohr Singh on 7 October 2024.
