Punjab News: Bus and five canters collided on Generali road

Punjab News: Five vehicles collided one after the other on the bridge of the National Highway here this morning, in which lives were spared but the vehicles were heavily damaged. Meanwhile, the highway got jammed and the commuters had to face the problem. According to information, in the early hours of the morning, a canter loaded with chillies hit the Haryana Roadways bus number HR73GY-3692, causing the following vehicles to collide with each other. Meanwhile, a container number RJ14GG-8261 also rammed into a pepper canter which blocked the highway and its driver fled from the spot, in which container number HR39F-8669 of Amazon company going from Sonepat to Ludhiana rammed into and behind him. Another Haryana number HR69C-9079 rang.

As soon as the incident was reported, the SSF team reached the spot and removed the accident vehicles from the highway and started the traffic smoothly and the injured were taken to the nearby civil hospital with the help of passers-by. On this occasion, Police Station City-2 Police Station Officers Gurwinder Kumar, Keshav Kumar and Rajandeep Singh said that the main cause of this accident is a canter full of chillies which was in high speed and hit the bus going ahead. He said that four persons were injured in this accident and after seeing the serious condition of one person Manoj Kumar, he was referred to Chandigarh after first aid. On this occasion, bus driver Tokh Raj, who was treated at the hospital, said that he was going from Rewari to Jalandhar when suddenly a canter full of chillies hit him. He said that due to the fact that the back of the bus was empty, no one was killed. Similarly, canter driver Sandeep Kumar said that he was going from Sonepat to Amritsar with a canter full of rubber and hit the Amazon company canter in the container standing on the highway. In this accident, Amazon company driver Ratnesh Kumar’s leg was broken and cleaner Manoj Kumar was seriously injured.

The doctors of the hospital said that 4 persons were brought to the hospital after the accident, out of which Manoj Kumar had to be referred to Chandigarh due to his critical condition. After this incident, the residents of the city and various organizations expressed their protest and said that many accidents occur due to the shutdown of the lights on the National Highway. He demanded that keeping in mind the foggy weather in the coming days, the highway lights should be fixed soon and the potholes on the highway should be fixed.
