The annual Shaheed Sabha dedicated to the martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh and Mata Gujri Ji, the younger Sahibzadas of Sarbansdani Guru Gobind Singh, started from today with Akhand Path at Gurdwara Sri Jyoti Sarup Sahib. On the first day of the meeting, lakhs of devotees paid obeisance to the great martyrs by bowing down in the Gurdwara. On the third day of the meeting, Nagar Kirtan will be performed from Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib on December 27, which will be completed in Gurdwara Sri Jyoti Saroop.
On the occasion of Akhand Path, National General Secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal Jagdeep Singh Cheema, Former Junior Vice President of Shiromani Committee Avtar Singh Riya, Gurdwara Manager Gurdeep Singh Kang, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Religious and political personalities including Sona Thind, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Geetika Singh were present. Officials of the Shiromani Committee said that the Sangat will not be allowed to face any difficulties. Meanwhile, paying obeisance to the great martyrs of Saka Sirhind, Shiromani Akali Dal and Youth Akali Dal started the ‘Meri Dastar Meri Shaan’ campaign, which was prayed by Head Granthi Bhai Harpal Singh. A large number of activists including Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna of Shiromani Akali Dal, National President of Youth Akali Dal Sarabjit Singh Jhinjar, District President Sharanjit Singh Chanarthal and Halka Basi Pathana in-charge Darbara Singh Guru were present on this occasion.
Event by Budha Dal in Bibangarh Sahib
Budha Dal Secretary Diljit Singh Bedi said that Baba Balbir Singh 96 Crores are being organized during Shahidi Sabha till December 28. Akhand Pathat started today in Gurdwara Sri Bibangarh Sahib, which will be celebrated on December 27. Similarly, the Akhand Path of Sri Dasam Granth will begin on December 26 and the Bhog will take place on December 28. After this, the Mahalla will be decorated by all the Nihang Singh parties. He said that on December 27, from Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib to Gurdwara Jyoti Sarup, the Nihang organizations will also participate in the Nagar Kirtan. Similarly, in memory of Shaheed Baba Moti Ram Mehra, Diwan also started from today and will continue till December 28.
