Punjab and Haryana High Court has restored the election of seven wards of Patiala Municipal Corporation. A day before the polls for the corporation elections in December, the High Court had canceled the election of the candidates of seven wards who were declared unopposed winners, but in a new decision today, the court has reinstated the election and accepted the seven candidates as winners. These MCs will now be able to take oath and start their activities as councillors.

These seven wards include ward numbers 32, 33, 36, 41, 48 and 50. Let it be said that in all these seven wards, the candidates of Aam Aadmi Party won unopposed, but the opposition parties filed a writ petition in the court and alleged that these candidates of the ruling party had torn the nomination forms of their opposition candidates. . Due to this, they could not file their nominations and as a result, these seven candidates won unopposed.
