Union Minister of State for Railway and Food Processing Ravneet Singh Bittu has offered to talk to the farmers. During his visit to Patiala on Wednesday, he said that wherever farmers call “they are ready to go barefoot”. He was addressing a press conference at Moti Mahal here. Former Union Minister Parneet Kaur was also present on this occasion.
Meanwhile, he has warned the IPS and IAS officers not to neglect their duty regarding the municipal elections. He said that since they (IPS and IAS officers) are under the central government, if they neglect their duty during these elections at the behest of the government, they will have to bear the consequences.
He said that there are complaints of harassment of potential BJP candidates by the police at various places. He said that any such action will not be tolerated.
