In Patiala, a 25 year old girl was murdered by her own mother. The 62-year-old woman had an illicit relationship with a young man, about which her daughter often protested. Frustrated by this, the woman along with her boyfriend planned to murder him.

The woman’s husband had already died and one of her sons had also become a victim of a road accident two years ago. There was only a widow in the house and her daughter separated from her husband and lived with her mother and worked in a private company.
Daughter murdered for 25 year old lover Investigation revealed that a 62-year-old woman had become blind in love with a young man of her daughter’s age. And he was the one who planned the murder. The accused youth had entered the house on Wednesday night and murdered 25 year old Anu and fled from the spot. After hearing the noise, the neighbors knocked on the gate but the gate did not open. After calling the police, when the gate was opened, the dead body of the girl was found lying inside the room.
Illicit relationship was going on for a long time During investigation, police officers told that Anu lived with her widowed mother separately from her husband. Anu’s mother Aruna also used to do a private job. She had an illicit relationship with 25-year-old Satgur Singh for a long time. Anu’s brother died in a road accident in the year 2022, while her father had died 8 years ago. For the past few months, Anu had been continuously protesting against her illicit relationship and stopping her mother. Because of which Aruna along with her lover committed the murder.
Had gone to relative’s house at the time of the incident After returning from work, Anu’s mother had gone to the house of a relative living in the locality and stayed there till late night. According to the plan, during this time the accused lover committed the crime. After which the woman reached home after coming to know about the murder. The accused woman, pretending to be unaware of the incident, started pretending to cry.
DSP Nabha Mandeep Kaur said that this murder was committed by the girl’s mother along with her lover, FIR has been registered against both of them.
