Around 123 new buses will soon be included in the fleet of Punjab Roadways. With this, those routes will now be identified on which private buses run more than government buses. All this action will be completed in 15 days. This order was given by Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Singh.

Buses will be taken on lease for six years
20 Super Integral BS-6 compliant buses and 19 HVAC buses are being procured under KM scheme for PRTC fleet. Apart from this, 83 new ones are also being purchased by PRTC. These buses will be taken on lease for 6 years under the kilometer scheme. Apart from this, no compromise will be made on the routes.

Action will be taken against those who do not pay tax
Laljit Singh Bhullar has asked the officials of the State Transport Commissioner’s office to adopt effective recovery process to crack down on the people who do not pay tax. PRTC Chairman Ranjodh Singh Hadana, Additional Chief Secretary Transport DKetiwari, STC Jaspreet Singh, MD Panbus Gupta and many other officials were present in the meeting.
