Weather Update: As the winter season approaches in India, the warming effect of the sun begins to diminish. The continuous snowfall in the high mountain areas has changed the climate. The special thing is that its effect is now being seen in the plain parts of the country as well. In view of the changing weather, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert and advised the general public to be cautious.
The IMD has issued a warning in view of severe weather during the weekend. Meteorologists say that many districts of West Bengal may remain under the grip of cold wave till Sunday 15 December 2024. This may affect the neighboring states of Bihar and Jharkhand. Let it be known that the mercury has been continuously falling in Bihar for the past few days. Even in Punjab, the effect of snowfall will be seen in the hilly areas. The mercury will fall in Punjab, with which the cold will increase.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that the cold wave will continue till December 15 in many districts of West Bengal. IMD has alerted people by issuing an alert. According to meteorologists, the situation may worsen in the western parts of West Bengal. North-westerly and northerly winds are more than normal in this region. Due to this, the temperature in the western parts of the state has gone below normal.
Due to the drop in temperature, the fury of cold has also increased. Amidst all this, a warning has been issued regarding the cold wave. People have been advised to be cautious till Sunday. In view of the severe weather, it has become necessary to cover the whole body with warm clothes while going out of the house.
