The Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI has appointed Dr. Ajit Ratnakar Joshi as the new executive director i.e. Executive Director since March 5, 2025. Earlier, Joshi served as Principal Advisor in the Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM).
Joshi will look after the Department of Statistics and Information Management as well as the Financial Stability Department as Executive Director.
Responsibility for managing statistical data
Joshi will have the responsibility of ensuring accuracy and reliability of statistical data used to create a roll policy. Also, they will also have to look after the Critical Financial Stability Majors for the banking sector.
IdRBT has been facing faculty in Hyderabad
Joshi has a work experience of over 3 decades. Joshi has worked in sectors like Statistics, Information Technology and Cyber Risk Management. He has also been a faculty member at Hyderabad’s Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT).
