1. Jharkhand Education Minister Ramdas Soren dies
Jharkhand Education Minister Ramdas Soren died late Friday 15 August at Apollo Hospital in Delhi. He was 62 years old. He was admitted to the hospital on 2 August due to a serious head injury.
Ramdas was one of the big leaders of Soren JMM (JNM).
- Today his body reached Ranchi Airport. From here he was taken to the Jharkhand Assembly, where he was given a final farewell.
- He was currently an MLA from Ghatshila. Hemant Soren made him a minister in his previous cabinet, projecting him as a big leader of Kolhan when Champai Soren joined BJP.
- He was again made a minister after the 2024 election results.
2. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit India from 18-20 August
China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit India from 18-20 August. China’s Foreign Ministry gave this information in a statement on 16 August.
The talks took place after a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020.
- This will be a 24th round of talks between China and India’s special representatives on the border issue.
- This will be the second such meeting after a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers on the border in 2020.
- PM Narendra Modi will go to China to participate in the Shanghai Corporation Organization (SCO) at the end of the month. This will be his first visit in seven years.

Educational qualification:
Head Constable (Radio Operator):
- 12th pass with 60% marks (subject: Physics, Chemistry, Maths)
- Or 2 -year ITI degree with 10th (subject: Radio, Television, Electronics, COPA, General Electronics, Data Entry Operator)
Head Constable (Radio Mechanic):
- 12th pass with 60% marks (subject: Physics, Chemistry, Maths)
- Or 2 -year ITI degree with 10th (subject: Radio, Television, General Electronics, COPA, Electrician, Fitter, IT & ESM, data entry operator, equipment maintenance, computer hardware, mechanics)
Edge Limit:
- UR: 18 – 25 years
- OBC: 18 – 28 years
- SC, ST: 18 – 30 years
Salary:
- 25,500 – 81,100 rupees per month

2. UPPSC started recruitment to lecturers posts
UPPSC has recruited 1516 posts of lecturers in government inter colleges. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website uppsc.up.nic.in.

1. NCERT new content module released on India’s division
NCERT has issued 2 new modules for classes 6 to 8 and 9 to 12. Apart from regular books, these modules are based on the destruction of the partition of the country. In this, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Congress Party and Lord Mountbatten have been convicted of partition.
This information has been added to the topic ‘guilty of partition’. The module states that Jinnah demanded partition, the Congress accepted it and Mountbatten implemented it.
The module also includes a part of the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s speech. Nehru had said, “We have come to a situation where we will either have to accept the division or face constant struggle and anarchy.”
2. In Haryana, the first class student was locked in school
On Thursday 14 August in village Nuni in Mahendragarh district of Haryana, a student studying in a government school was closed in the school itself and the teachers, all the staff locked her and went home.
The child slept on the class desk and no one could see it. When the child woke up, he started crying loudly.
The villagers passing by the school at around four o’clock heard his cry and immediately reached outside the class. Where the child’s cry was coming.
After which the sarpanch was informed and the police and the sarpanch reached the school and took the child out of the school.
