1. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh meets Defense Minister of Maldives

A bilateral meeting was held between Maldives Defense Minister Mohammed Ghassan Maumoon and Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who was on a 3-day visit to India from 8 to 10 January. During this, issues like providing weapons and other defense equipment to the Maldivian Army, joint military exercises and defense projects were discussed between the two Defense Ministers.

During his stay in India, Maldives Defense Minister Ghassan will also visit Goa and Mumbai.

2. Green Mahakumbh will be held in Prayagraj on 31st January.

Green Mahakumbh will be organized on January 31 during the Kumbh festival in Prayagraj. More than 1000 environment and water conservation workers will be involved in this. It will be organized by Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Trust and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be its chief patron. There will be a national level meeting on the issues of nature, environment, water and cleanliness in the Green Mahakumbh.

Apart from this, Swachhta Rath Yatra has been started in Prayagraj today.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has invited applications for 200 posts of Junior Resident (JR). Candidates can apply by visiting the official website aiimsexams.ac.in. Students applying will have to deposit a security deposit of Rs 25,000 through electronic fund transfer.

Educational Qualification:

  • MBBS/BDS degree (including completion of internship) or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/DCI.
  • If selected, DMC/DDC registration is required before joining.

2. Recruitment for 110 posts in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has announced recruitment for teaching faculty posts. Candidates can attend walk in interview to get selected in this recruitment. The candidates selected in this recruitment will be appointed on contract basis.

1. EWS admission process in Delhi schools from 3rd February

The process of EWS admission from nursery to first class in Delhi schools will start from February 3. For this, parents can register online till 19th February. The age of students should be three to five years for admission in nursery, four to six years for KG and five to seven years for admission in first class.

The annual income of the parents of students seeking admission through EWS quota should be less than Rs 5 lakh and to prove this, there should be an income certificate issued by the Delhi Revenue Department.

2. MPBSE released board exam pattern

Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education i.e. MPBSE has released the pattern of 10th and 12th board exams.

For class 10th, the question paper of each subject will be of 75 marks. 25-25 marks will be given internal. Whereas for 12th, the question paper of non-practical subjects will be of 80 marks. In 12th, only 20 marks will be internal.

Apart from this, in those 12th subjects which have practicals, question paper will be of 70 marks and practicals will be of 30 marks. This year there will be more short answer questions of 2-2 marks than long answer questions and objective type questions of 30 marks.

3. USPC CDS 1 final merit list released

UPSC has released the final merit list of CDS 1 2024. Candidates can check the merit list on upsc.gov.in. A total of 590 candidates have been included in the final merit list out of which 120 are female and 470 are male candidates.
