On August 1, Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsyayan took over as Vice Chief of Naval Staff (VCNS) of the Indian Navy.
Vatsyayan has become the 47th Vice Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy.
- Vatsyayan National Defense Academy i.e. NDA is alumina of the 71st course of Pune.
- He received a commission in the Indian Navy on 1 January 1988.
- He is a specialist in singer and missile systems.
- Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsyayan hails from Hiranagar in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh.
- They were involved in guided missile destroyer INS Mysore, INS Nishank’s commissioning crew and pre-commissioning crew of Coast Guard OPV ICGS Sangram.
- Also, INS has also served as the Executive Officer of Mysore.

1. Recruitment to 7,466 posts of UP TGT
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission i.e. UPPSC has recruited 7,466 posts of Trend Graduate Teachers (TGT). The application process for this has started from July 28. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the Commission uppsc.up.nic.in. The last date to apply is 28 August.

Educational qualification:

2. Recruitment notification for 3,115 posts in Railways released
Eastern Railway has recruited 3,115 posts of Apprentice. Under this recruitment, recruitment will be done in various trades including fitter, welder, carpenter, painter, turner, electrician, wireman, machineist. After the application starts, the candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website rrcer.org.

1. Registration started for CLAT 2026
On 1 August, the Consortium of National Law Universities started the process of registration for Common Law Admission Test i.e. CLAT 2026. Candidates can register for Clat UG and Clat PG.
For this, candidates have to go to the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The last date to apply for CLAT 2026 is 31 October. At the same time, the examination will be held on 7 December, 2025.
2. NEET UG Counseling will start by August 3
The Medical Counseling Committee i.e. MCC has extended the counseling date of NEET UG 2025 from 31 July to 03 August. According to the notice issued by MCC, now the candidates can register for the first round till 1 pm on August 3 at 1 pm.
