Gursevak Singh Preetsri Muktsar Sahib, 15 December
This time again Red Cross has collected 1 crore 4 lakh rupees for the entertainment fair to be held on the occasion of the historic Mela Maghi held at the Martyrdom Memorial of 40 Martyrs. Later, the contractor will complete this money from the pockets of the pilgrims with a huge profit, but the sad thing is that the money is being collected in the name of the fair held for the pilgrims, but they are not being given any facility. There is filth all over the city and sewage water continues to overflow while sewage water also remains standing around the 7 gates of the city’s historic Gurdwara Sahib. The money collected by the Red Cross should be invested in the city’s roads and sewerage to improve the condition of the city.
On the other hand, money is not coming to PWD and B&R and all the works of the city are on hold due to non-meeting of the city council. In such a situation, if the Red Cross wants, it can solve these problems of the city without any resolution. In this regard, urging the Deputy Commissioner and all political, religious and social service organizations to gather together, National Consumer Awareness Group District President Sham Lal Goyal, Gobind Singh Dabra, Jaswant Singh Brar, Surinder Chagti, Bhanwar Lal Sharma, Kala Singh Bedi, Vinod Ji, Gurjant Singh Brar, Baldev Singh Bedi and other members have demanded that this money should be used to solve the sewage problem around the Gurdwara Sahib. go Along with this, a cleaning campaign should be conducted. He also appealed to the Aam Aadmi Party MLA to discuss this issue with the Deputy Commissioner and find a suitable solution.
