Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant paid college fees of Jyoti Kanabur Math, a brilliant student of Karnataka.
Jyoti hails from Rabkavi village of Bilgi Taluk, Karnataka. He recently scored 83 per cent marks in the 12th examination.
Jyoti’s dream was to study BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) later, but due to financial constraints, this dream would have remained incomplete. When Pant came to know about this, he deposited the fees in the college account.
Jyoti’s father runs a tea shop Jyoti’s father runs a small tea shop in Tirthaya Math village. Due to the poor financial condition of the family, they could not pay the daughter’s college fees. In such a situation, the dream of studying was seen breaking.

Pant first deposited the semester fee in the college account
Jyoti sought help from the village contractor Anil Hanashnikatti. Anil not only promised Jyoti’s admission to BCA course at BLDE College, Jamkhandi, but also started efforts for financial help.
He conveyed the status of Jyoti to Rishabh Pant through his friends in Bengaluru. Hearing his story, Pant immediately decided to help and on July 17, by transferring Rs 40,000 to the college account, Jyoti’s first semester fees paid.
Pant was taken out of the field after injury.

He further said, ‘I pray to God that Rishabh Pant gets good health. Their help matters a lot to me. I hope that they will also help other poor students like me.
Pant’s injury and return to the field Rishabh Pant was injured on the first day of the fourth Test of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy played against England in Manchester recently. In the 68th over, a slow yorker ball of Chris Woakes hit the little finger of his right leg. Pant was trying to play reverse sweep, when the ball hit his bat and hit the shoes.
England appealed to LBW, but the umpire rejected it. Pant was seen groaning in pain, and physio examined him on the field. On opening the shoe, swelling in his leg was seen, after which he was taken out of the field on a stretcher. At that time, he retired after scoring 37 runs. He shared a 72 -run partnership for the fourth wicket with Sai Sudarshan.
However, the next day Pant returned to the ground and batted brilliantly and scored a half -century. His innings played an important role in transporting the Indian team over 350 runs.
