Road Accident: Two killed, dozen passengers injured in collision between bus and tractor-trolley

Road Accident: On Thursday morning, a private bus coming from Amritsar rammed into the back of a tractor-trolley full of bricks, killing two people and injuring around a dozen other passengers. The accident was so terrible that the bus was badly damaged.

According to the information received on the spot, Golden Express private bus (No. PB 02CR 9295) was going from Amritsar to Jalandhar this morning. When it reached the Rohi bridge near Beas town at around 10 am, it rammed into the rear of a brick-laden tractor-trolley (No. PB 07 X 2819).

Due to this, the bus got badly damaged and two passengers of the bus died on the spot and around a dozen were injured. The passengers were injured. The deceased have been identified as bus conductor Pavitar Singh, resident of Kotla Gujran and passenger Mangal Singh son of Ajit Singh, resident of Bhorsi Rajput. The rest of the injured riders have been admitted to Dera Beas, Civil Hospital Baba Bakala and Amritsar hospitals for treatment.
