An arrest warrant has been issued against former cricketer Robin Uthappa. A case of cheating has come up against Uthappa. It is alleged that Uthappa did not deposit this amount in the accounts of his employees. If they fail to pay the compensation, they will be arrested after December 27. It may be mentioned that Uthappa has retired from international cricket.
Robin Uthappa is the Director of Bengaluru-based Centaurs Lifestyle Brands Pvt. Regional PF Commissioner Sadakshari Gopal Reddy said in an arrest warrant issued on December 4 that the company has failed to pay compensation of around Rs 23,36,602 which is due from former Team India player Robin Uthappa. Uthappa is accused of deducting the provident fund from the salary of his employees but not depositing the amount in the accounts of his employees.
Uthappa has faced this for non-payment of dues. It is said that the police have been asked to return the warrant to arrest Uthappa on or before December 27. They have until December 27 to pay the dues of around Rs 24 lakh. If Uthappa does not do so, he can be arrested.
Former cricketer Robin Uthappa scored 934 runs for India in 43 ODI matches with 6 fifties. Apart from this, he scored 249 runs in 13 T20 international matches with the help of a half century. Apart from this, he has represented many teams in the IPL. In the IPL, Uthappa has played for teams like Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders.
