Russian women saved Five Russian women were saved from drowning in the sea in two separate incidents in Goa

A total of five Russian women were rescued from drowning in the sea in two separate incidents at Candolim and Banolim beaches in Goa. A life saving agency appointed by the state government gave this information today.

A spokesperson for Drishti Marine, which provides life-saving services to Goa Vij, said that the foreign tourists were rescued late on Tuesday night.

The interpreter said that the first incident is from Kadolim coast in North Goa where three women aged between 30 and 40 got caught in the strong current while swimming together. He said that lifeguards saw them in distress and rushed to their aid and brought all three safely back to shore.

He said that in the second incident, two Russian women, aged 51 and 52 years respectively, got caught in the strong current and started drifting in the sea off the Benolim coast. He said that seeing both of them in distress, the lifeguards of the agency went into the sea and brought them to the shore. -News-Patiala
