A man and his wife attacked the police team to arrest the accused on Fatehpur Road in Sanaur. The police personnel were not injured in the attack but the ASI’s uniform was torn. After which, on the statement of ASI Bikramjit Singh, the accused Subeg Singh resident was immediately arrested.

Both the accused are absconding and the police is conducting raids to arrest them. Criminal case is also registered against Subeg Singh, police is collecting his details. ASI Bikramjit Singh said that Karamjit Singh, resident of Bhankhar Road, had lodged a complaint in Sanaur police station. In this complaint, there were allegations against Subeg Singh that he did not return ten thousand rupees to Karamjit Singh and threatened to kill him if he asked for money.
After this, ASI Bikramjit Singh reached the accused’s house last evening, where Subeg Singh’s wife came out first. Subeg’s wife started a scuffle with policeman Karamjeet Singh, after which Subeg Singh also came out and started beating Karamjeet Singh. When the police tried to stop them, they were also scuffled with. During this time, the uniform of ASI Bikramjit Singh got torn.
SHO of Sanaur police station Amanpal Singh said that the accused husband and wife had fled from the spot after attacking the police. The police team is conducting a raid to arrest them.
