New Delhi. Bollywood’s ‘villain’ i.e. Sanjay Dutt reached jail in the 1993 Mumbai blast case. He was sentenced to five years after being convicted on charges of possessing illegal weapons. However, he kept coming out on bail and finally released in 2016. But when he was in jail during 2009-2010. Then his third wife Manyata Dutt was pregnant and was about to give birth to two children together. During that time, in worrying about leaving Manyata alone, Sanju Baba requested his close friend and actress Sheeba Akashdeep to take care of his wife.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Sheeba recalled that difficult time, saying that she supported recognition during pregnancy and also ensured that she should never be alone.
Sheeba used to sit with recognition for hours
Sheeba told, ‘When Sanjay was going to jail, he called me and said,’ Manyata is alone, I want you to take care of him ‘. Sheeba told, ‘I used to sit with her every day and sit with her so that she would not feel alone. I wanted me to stay with him until he comes out. So I spent the whole nine months with him.

He said, ‘When I first went to jail, if you see pictures outside Thane Jail- Anna, Akshay, Ajay, Shah Rukh, everyone came and wished me. I did not get any relief from the jail sentence, so why think more? I had to assume that yes, I have to go. I have to face it. I faced it and learned from it. I used that time to cook, read scriptures and do workouts and I came out with good physic.
