Saudi Arabia has long shown interest in developing the nuclear energy sector. He has spoken to America about nuclear cooperation.

Saudi Arabia’s deputy mining minister and former chairman of state-owned company Maaden said an auction of 50,000 square kilometers of mineral exploration will begin this year, Al Arabiya reported. This will be five times larger than the 10,000 sq km area auctioned in 2024. However, he did not give any specific information regarding the auction. He also said the ministry wants to increase private investment in mineral exploration from Saudi Riyal 400 million annually to Saudi Riyal 700 million.
