4,300 beggars put in ECL
After complaints from many countries including Saudi Arabia, the Shahbaz government has put 4,300 beggars in the exit control list. This means that the beggars whose names are in this list can no longer go out of the country.
Let us tell you that recently Saudi had complained to the Pakistani government that people are coming there with Haj and Umrah visas and begging in Mecca and Medina. Due to this the number of beggars has increased in Saudi. After Saudi’s displeasure, Pakistan has taken this action, information about which has been given to the government of Mohammed bin Salman.
Pakistan gave information to Saudi Arabia
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi informed Saudi Arabia about the ECL list of beggars. The list of names included in the list was handed over to Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Dawood.
Saudi had warned
Saudi Arabia had warned Pakistan to take serious and immediate cognizance of beggars traveling under Umrah and Haj visas. Riyadh had asked the Religious Affairs Ministry of Islamabad to stop the visas given to such people. The Saudi government said in its warning that a large number of Pakistani citizens were caught begging in the country. He was sent back.
According to Riyadh, these Pakistani beggars had entered Saudi Arabia under Umrah and Haj visas and were spending their time begging on the streets of Mecca and Medina.
Saudi had said that if the situation is not controlled, it could have a negative impact on Pakistani Umrah and Haj pilgrims.
