Cyber criminals are looking to trap people in different ways. Sometimes they send messages with cheap loans to people, sometimes they try to steal information by sending fake messages in the name of completing KYC. Now the government has alerted people with one such message. In this message, the delivery address is being asked to update. A link has also been given in this message, which can cause a big loss by clicking on it. If you have any such message, then be careful.

PIB’s fact check unit has issued an alert regarding a fake message. In this message, it is written with a link to update the delivery location within 12 hours. If not done, the product will be returned. India Post is written on the link given with the message. The PIB has issued an alert calling this message fake. PIB said that the Indian does not send such request for post address update. Avoid clicking on such fake links. The PIB has advised people to visit the official website of Indian post for trekking details.

How to avoid such scams?
- Do not get into the greed of breathtaking advertisements appearing on social media
- Do not open the link or attachment given in a message or email from any unknown or suspicious person.
- Do not share personal information including OTP with any suspect or unknown person.
- Use a strong password for your account and keep changing it at regular intervals.
- If you have become a victim of cyber fraud, immediately contact the agencies concerned. Disadvantages can be stopped in the first few minutes.
