Nursery Admission 2025: The first merit list for admission to nursery class in private schools in Delhi has been released. Also, there is a lot of confusion regarding refund of fees. Delhi Directorate of Education has not issued any guidelines regarding fee refund. Due to which schools are charging fees arbitrarily. Some schools are not even giving clear information regarding fee refund. According to a report in Times of India, Roshni Negi, who lives in East Delhi, said that the school in which her daughter’s name appeared says that her daughter’s fees will be deducted if she changes schools in the next list. . But it has not been said how much will be cut. Many parents have similar complaints.
Delhi Education Directorate has made rules regarding admission fees: No information regarding admission fee refund is available on Delhi Education Directorate website or nursery admission guidelines. But there is a notice dated 28 February 2019 on the website of the Directorate. That is about refund rules. According to the notice, after paying the child’s fee, if a parent wants to leave the school within a month, the school will have to refund the remaining amount along with the registration fee, keeping one month’s admission fee and tuition fee. The school has to return this money within 30 days of the parents requesting it. If this is not done, action will be taken under the Delhi School Education Act and Rules.
The first list for admission to nursery schools in Delhi was released on January 17. Parents can raise questions on this list till January 27. The second nursery admission list will be released on 2 February 2025. Many children’s names have appeared in more than one school. In such a case, they will block the seat in the same school. In such a case, there would be a possibility of admission of many more children in the second list.
