1. America will now impose 100% tariff on China
US President Donald Trump announced imposition of 100% tariff on China. Trump said on Friday that the new tariffs would go into effect on November 1.
Trump has also talked about controlling the export of all important software from November 1.
- There is already a 30% tariff on goods coming from China to America. In such a situation, a total tariff of 130% will be imposed on China.
- Under these rules, foreign companies using Chinese minerals or technology will have to obtain a license.
2. Deepika Padukone becomes the country’s first mental health brand ambassador
Actress Deepika Padukone has been appointed as the first brand ambassador of mental health by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on October 10, World Mental Health Day.
Deepika shared a picture with MPs JP Nadda and Punya Salila Srivastava on social media.

3. UN TCC conference to be held in India next week
India will convene the Conference of Heads of United Nations Force Contributing Countries (UN TCC) in New Delhi next week.
Army chiefs of more than 33 countries will participate in this meeting.
- There will be a conclave for peace operations from 14 to 16 October at Manekshaw Centre, Delhi.
- According to senior army officials, confirmation has been received from all 33 countries. Most of these delegates will be from the Global South.
- India’s neighbors Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan will be included.

4. Body builder Varinder Singh Ghuman passes away
Body builder Varinder Singh Ghumman passed away on Thursday. He was 53 years old. Varinder was a professional bodybuilder and actor.
Also worked with Salman Khan in Tiger 3.
- Ghuman became Mr. India in 2009.
- He died due to 2 heart attacks during operation in Fortis Hospital, Amritsar.

1. Vacancy of AYUSH officer in RSSB
Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has invited applications for the posts of Ayush Officer. In this, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani degree holders can apply.
Candidates can apply by visiting the official website rssb.rajasthan.gov.in. The written examination will be conducted on 16 December 2025.

1. Video of a school teacher being hit with slippers for asking a question in Madhya Pradesh goes viral
A video of a school in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh is going viral on social media. In this video, media influencer is asking school teacher Sona Maravi why the children are roaming outside, in response to which the teacher runs towards him with slippers and is then seen hitting the journalist.
This is a video of the middle school of Hinauti Azam Sankul in Jabera block of Damoh district. After this incident, the District Education Officer has suspended the teacher and has ordered an investigation.
2. UKSSSC postponed the exam to be held on October 12
Uttarakhand Staff Selection Commission has postponed the UKSSSC exam. This exam was to be held on 12th October. Its admit cards had not been issued yet.
The Chairman of the Commission said that the new schedule of the postponed examinations will be announced soon.
UKSSSC Chairman GS Martolia announced on Friday that the examination for the Agriculture Department scheduled to be held on October 12 has been postponed. Around 600 candidates were to appear in this examination. Even before this, the examination to be held on October 5 was also postponed.
UKSSSC Graduate Recruitment Cancelled
The Commission has also canceled the graduation level paper held on September 21. This examination was held on 21st September. Only after the paper, screenshots related to the question paper started appearing. After which the candidates came out on the streets of Dehradun and were demanding cancellation of the paper. CM Dhami said that the entire process has been canceled and now the exam will be held again.
