Seven arrested including five minors on charges of murder


New Delhi, January 4

Delhi Police has arrested seven people, including five minors, on the charge of murdering a 14-year-old student. The police officer said that when the accused were arrested, they were planning to flee from Delhi. The police have also recovered the knife used during the incident and other evidence. The incident took place in East Delhi’s Shakarpur area on Friday, in which a class 9 student was attacked outside the school and left seriously injured. Investigation revealed that the victim allegedly had an argument with one of his classmates. Due to this, the accused called his other colleagues there as well. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Abhishek Dhania said that when the students left the school at around 6 pm, the accused was waiting outside the school with his colleagues. The situation worsened when the minor accomplice of the main accused stabbed the victim in the right thigh and seriously injured him. The staff immediately administered first aid and rushed the victim student to Hedgewar Hospital from where he was referred to GTB Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The names of college student Sarathi (19) and dairy owner Aman Kumar (31) are included in Balga. -News-Patiala

Fugitive arrested on charges of murder

New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested the wanted accused on the charge of murder. It is to be noted that this accused was absconding for two years. The accused has been identified as Hemant Kumar Jha (22), a resident of Siraspur, Delhi, who was declared a fugitive on the charge of murder. In the year 2023, he was accused of murdering a person named Keshav. A case of murder was registered against him in Swarup Nagar police station. The police said that another case of murder has been registered against him in Samaipur Badli. The police said that the accused was absconding to avoid arrest. After receiving a tip-off about him, a crime branch team arrested him on Friday near Hyderpur metro station. The police said that he has confessed everything during the interrogation. -News-Patiala
