The interim committee meeting of Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee was held in Amritsar today. In which the decision to expel Narayan Singh Chaudhary, who attacked Sukhbir Badal, from the sect has been cancelled. On the other hand, today all the SGPC members took oath as the country’s first Sikh leader.

Giving information, SGPC Chief Advocate Dhami said that The incident of killing of three youths from Punjab in a police encounter in Uttar Pradesh is strongly condemned. The interim committee has demanded a judicial inquiry into this entire matter.
The interim committee described this incident in Uttar Pradesh as very serious and worrying. A resolution passed in the meeting said that this case appears to be deliberately targeting young youth. SGPC called for a judicial inquiry into the matter, demanding fair and speedy justice.

Proposal to expel Narayan Choudhary from Panth canceled
In the meeting held on December 9, the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee had decided that the proposal to expel Narayan Chaudhary, who attacked Sukhbir Badal, from the sect would be sent to Sri Akal Takht Sahib. On which consensus was reached, but it was opposed by one member. Even the hot-headed Sikh organizations were enraged by this. After which that proposal was canceled today. In which there was a demand to expel Sardar Narayan Singh Chaudhary from the sect. This decision was taken after extensive deliberations.
The time limit of the inquiry committee was extended
In the meeting held on December 19, the time limit of the committee constituted to investigate the cases related to Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has been extended by one month keeping in mind the elections of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. Also, the interim committee committed to a fair and transparent investigation.
During the meeting, condolence was expressed on the demise of former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh. “Moolmantra” and “Gurmantra” were chanted for the peace of his soul. Apart from SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Senior Vice President Sardar Raghujit Singh Virak, Junior Vice President Sardar Baldev Singh Kalyan, General Secretary Sardar Sher Singh Mandwala, and other prominent members of the interim committee were present in this meeting. Along with these, various officers of SGPC, legal advisors and technical experts also became part of the meeting.
