The charge has been withdrawn from Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib. The decision has been taken in the internal committee meeting of the Shiromani Committee. Information has been received that Giani Harpreet Singh will not be able to attend any meeting until the investigation is completed. Damdama Sahib head granthi Jagtar Singh will serve in place of Giani Harpreet Singh. By that time the charge has been withdrawn from Giani Harpreet Singh.
Let it be said that the relative of Giani Harpreet Singh had given a complaint, on which action has been taken. A high-level meeting of the internal committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee was held today at Gurdwara Degsar Sahib Katana (Ludhiana) under the leadership of Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, in which the charges against Giani Harpreet Singh were filed by Gurdev Singh Sri Muktsar Sahib, son of Gurpreet Singh. The allegations were discussed at length.
After the opinion of the members present in the meeting, it was agreed that it is very important to investigate the allegations made by keeping the honor of Singh Sahib’s position. Through a resolution passed during the meeting, a sub-committee was constituted for investigation, in which SGPC senior vice-president Raghujit Singh Virak, general secretary Sher Singh Mandwala and internal member Daljit Singh Bhinder were included. This sub-committee will submit its report in 15 days after complete investigation.
It was also decided in the Atring Committee that pending the decision on the inquiry report, the Chief Granthi of Takht Sri Damma Sahib will perform the services under the jurisdiction of Takht Sahib. During the gathering, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami along with Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virak, Junior Vice President Baldev Singh Kalyan, General Secretary Sher Singh Mandwala, Standing Committee Members Bibi Harjinder Kaur, Surjit Singh Tugalwal, Paramjit Singh Khalsa, Surjit Singh Garhi, Daljit Singh Bhinder, Ravinder Singh Khalsa, Jaswant Singh Purain, . Paramjit Singh Raipur, Secretary S. Pratap Singh, Sukhminder Singh, Private Secretary Shahbaj Singh, Incharge Azaddeep Singh etc. were present.
