Sunam Udham Singh Wala: A meeting of the intelligentsia of the city was held in the court complex presided over by Daljit Singh Gill. On this occasion, after the suggestions given by the audience, Shaheed Udham Singh People’s Interest Struggle Committee was formed to resolve the demands and issues of common people. Mitt Singh Janal, Advocate Baldev Krishna Sharma, Comrade Nirmal Singh, Lakhwinder Singh Chahal, Harbhagwan Sharma were elected as primary members on this occasion while Comrade Virinder Kaushik was unanimously elected as the convener of the committee. By passing a resolution, the new committee demanded the civil administration of Sunam to construct a square to prevent fatal accidents occurring over the over bridge (in front of the civil hospital) and to stop the hassle of coming and going to the people related to the food civil supply office. go -Letter persuasive
