Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan wants solution to all issues including Jammu Kashmir through talks with India


India Pakistan News: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday (5 February 2025) that his country wants to resolve all issues including Kashmir through talks with India. He also repeated his unwavering support towards Kashmiri people. Shahbaz Sharif was addressing a special session of Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK) assembly in Muzaffarabad on the occasion of Kashmir solidarity day. This day is celebrated by Pakistan every year to show support for Kashmiris.

‘India should start talking’

Pak PM said, “We want a solution to all issues including Kashmir through dialogue. Referring to the cancellation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, he said, “India should come out of the thinking of August 5, 2019 and fulfill the promises made to the United Nations and start talks.”

India revoked Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019 and divided the then state into two union territories. Prime Minister Sharif said, “The only way to move forward for Pakistan and India is the dialogue, as has already been written in the 1999 Lahore manifesto and which was agreed during the visit of the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Pakistan.”

India accused of depositing weapons

He said, “India has repeatedly said that it wants a relationship with Pakistan in a common neighbor in an environment free from terror, enmity and violence. India has repeatedly told Pakistan that Union Territory of Union Territories Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh was always an integral part of the country, and will remain.

After the cancellation of Article 370 from India, the relations between the two countries were soured. Shahbaz Sharif also accused India of depositing weapons. He said that collecting weapons will not bring peace and the fate of the people of this region will not change. The Prime Minister of Pakistan urged India to work wisely and said that the path of progress is peace.

UNSC mentioned on Kashmir issue

He said, “Pakistan will continue their moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiris until their right to self -determination.” He said, “The only solution to the Kashmir issue is the proposal of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) The right is.
