Shreyas Iyer is playing for West Zone in the Dalip Trophy.

Indian batter Shreyas Iyer has been made the captain of India-A team for two unofficial Test matches against Australia-A. Both these four -day matches will be played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The first match will be from 16 to 19 September and the second from 23 to 26 September.

BCCI announced India-A squad by posting on X.

Not included in Asia Cup Iyer has not been included in the Indian team in the Asia Cup squad starting in UAE from 9 September. Shreyas is currently playing from West Zone in the semi -finals of the ongoing Dalip Trophy in Bengaluru. His match is being played against the Central Zone.

Dhruv Jurael made vice -captain India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurael has been made vice-captains. Jurael took part in the fifth and final Test played at the last Oval in the England tour. He was included in the team in place of injured Rishabh Pant.

KL Rahul and Siraj will be part of the second match BCCI informed in its press release that KL Rahul and Mohammad Siraj will be included in the team for the second four-day match. Both these players will not be part of the team in the first match, but the team will be changed after the first match. Under this, Rahul and Siraj will replace two other players in the squad.
