The release of ‘Sky Force’ in theaters before January 26 is a good sign. Apart from action, there is a lot more in the film, which will give you goosebumps during the film. The combo of passion with emotion is amazing. After years, you are going to see a different style of Akshay Kumar on screen. Even though this is Veer Pahadia’s first Bollywood film, there is no flaw in his acting. Veer is going to win the hearts of the audience with his tremendous acting, because the entire film is based on his character.
Let us tell you, the film ‘Sky Force’ is about India’s retaliatory attack on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase in the India-Pakistan air war of 1965, which is also called India’s first air strike. The film also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur along with Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahadia. It is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios.
Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppaya Devayya MVC was the only Indian Air Force officer to be awarded the Mahavir Chakra (MVC). Mahavir Chakra is the second highest wartime gallantry award, just below Paramvir Chakra. During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Devaiah, popularly known as the ‘Wings of Fire’, was part of a strike mission targeting Pakistani airbase Sargodha when he was attacked by enemy aircraft. He had shot down the enemy plane.
In the film, Veer Pahadia played the role of Ajjamada Boppaya Devayya, whose name is given in the film as T Vijaya and the entire film is based on him. In the film, Akshay plays the role of Wing Commander KO Ojha (Veer Chakra OP Taneja). The film starts from 1975, but in flashback the film reaches 1965, where Wing Commander KO Ojha is very fond of his team’s Captain T Vijaya. Then news comes that Pakistan is preparing to attack India and then Ojha and Vijaya reach the India-Pakistan border in a fighter jet to gather information. Meanwhile, they see some trains stopped on the other side of the border and both of them cross the border without anyone’s permission and click some pictures from their fighter plane, where they see a large number of weapons. Both of them together attack that place and destroy everything. Then they return safely.
Returning back, Ojha tries to explain to his boss that Pakistan is making some big plan, it can attack India any time, but his words are ignored. Then the same thing happens which the exorcist had feared. Pakistan attacks their airbase, in which many soldiers lose their lives. What happens after this? Veer Pahadia in the character of Vijaya goes to Pakistan, but is he able to return to India? To get answers to all these questions, you will have to go to the theaters tomorrow i.e. on 24th January and watch the entire film.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahadia’s acting in the film has also shown great strength. It would not be wrong to say that the way he has acted in his first film has opened the way for him further. Sara Ali Khan’s role is small, but full of emotions. She played the role of Vijaya’s wife in the film. You will see Nimrat Kaur as Akshay’s wife. Also, Sharad Kelkar has also played a small but important role.
The direction of the film is also amazing, Abhishek, Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewalani together have made a great film. The VFX in the film are so amazing. You will feel as if you are in the sky and this air strike is happening in front of you. Although the first part of the film is quite good in terms of its pace, it slows down a bit in the second part. In the second half you will get to see less action and more emotion, but it is promised that by the time you reach the climax, you will have tears in your eyes. Now talking about music, Tanishk Bagchi’s music will give you goosebumps. On one side there is a patriotic song and on the other side there is the sound of a prank. Overall, this is a great entertaining film, which you can watch with your entire family. 4 stars to ‘Sky Force’ from my side.
