Australia defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and 242 runs in the first match of the two -match Test series. The Kangaroo team has taken a 1-0 lead in the series.
On the fourth day of the match on Saturday, Sri Lanka’s team was all out for 165 runs in the first innings in the first session. Australia declared its first innings on a score of 654/6. In this way, Sri Lanka was forced to play follow -on, following 489 runs and the team was reduced to 247 runs in the second innings as well.
