St. Soldier’s School won the overall trophy of the Gurdayal Singh Mela

Here the students of St. Soldier Elite Convent School captured the overall trophy of the Dr. Gurdayal Singh Memorial Fair held at Virsa Vihar Amritsar under the leadership of Pandit Kishan Dwesar. In this regard, school principal Amarpreet Kaur said that around 25 schools of Amritsar district participated in this fair. In the fair, competitions of students in word singing, folk song, poetry, kwishri, gidha, bhangra, solo dance, charkha kattana and ekangi etc. were conducted. He said that St. Soldier’s Elite Convent School was the flag bearer in these competitions and they captured the overall trophy of the fair by defeating all the schools. The principal said that in these competitions there were competitions in word singing, group song, solo dance, Ekangi, Charkha Katana, Giddha, Poetry and Bhangra. Similarly, Abhiraj Singh was awarded the best student in the junior category and Ripandeep Kaur was awarded the best student in the senior category. Similarly, the title of best teacher was given to teacher Jasbir Singh. On reaching the school, the school’s Managing Director Dr. Mangal Singh Kishanpuri and Principal Amarpreet Kaur welcomed the winning students and teachers.
