At the age of 23, the legendary music composer had changed his religion, but his family was against his decision in the beginning. The family did not want them to accept Islam. Recently, filmmaker Rajiv Menon, who was close to AR Rahman during the entire journey, spoke openly about the journey of conversion.

Talking with O2 India, Rajiv Menon said that he had helped Dilip Kumar alias AR Rahman in conversion. According to the filmmaker, the fakir who had confessed to Islam from AR Rahman did not know Hindi. In such a situation, Rajiv had to translate everything.

The family was against AR Rahman
He says that AR Rahman had a lot of pressure from the family. His family did not want him to be a Hindu to Muslim. Due to his conversion in Singer’s sister’s wedding, there was a lot of pressure on the singer with all these things.
