Maharishi Dayanand Public School, Darua, organized an exhibition of eco-friendly models on the occasion of Energy Conservation Day with the support of Environment Department, Chandigarh Administration. In this exhibition, students displayed various models to promote environment-friendly energy. Students explained through models that the use of renewable energy has a positive impact on natural resources. Smoke emitted from vehicles and factories causes pollution. Due to this, the existence of humans and animals is in danger. New technology has to be used to save the environment. He said that we should make maximum use of solar lights in our homes, streets, schools, hospitals and roads. He said that the glaciers are melting due to global warming and if this process continues, the earth will be covered with water. Students gave a message to improve the transport system through models. In the junior category, Himanshu and Shiv Shankar who made excellent models were awarded first prize, Lovepreet and Hemant second prize, Adarsh and Raj third prize and Akash and Abhideep. In the senior category, Ragini and Kalpana were awarded first, Kajal and Rupanshu second and Ayush Barthwal and Ayush Kumar third and Prince, Aditya, Julie were awarded. Vice Principal of the school Anju Maudgil said that the main reason for this exhibition is to make people aware about energy conservation.
