U19 Women’s T20 World Cup : The explosive performance of the Indian team in the ICC U-19 T20 World Cup continues. Defeated the West Indies by 9 wickets and defeated the defending champions Malaysia by 10 wickets. In their second match of the World Cup, India sealed their place in the Super Six with deadly bowling and stormy batting. India bowled out the Malaysian team for just 31 runs thanks to the lethal bowling of Vaishnavi Sharma, who took 5 wickets including a hat-trick on debut. After that, he won the match by achieving the target in 17 balls i.e. 2.5 overs without losing any wicket.
Indian captain Nikki Prasad won the toss and decided to bowl against hosts Malaysia. 5 batsmen of the host team returned before the Indian bowling scored 25 runs to restrict the West Indies to 44 runs. The team had lost only 6 wickets for 30 runs, but Vaishnavi Sharma, who was playing her first match in the World Cup, immediately took a hat-trick and wiped out Malaysia’s lower order. In front of the deadly bowling of the Indian team, the Malaysian team could score only 31 runs in 14.3 overs. India had a target of 32 runs to win. In the first match against the West Indies, the opening batsman Gongari Trisha, who was dismissed for only one boundary, did not make any mistakes against Malaysia. Gongari Trisha ended the match in the blink of an eye by scoring 27 unbeaten runs with 5 fours off 12 balls. By restricting West Indies to 44 runs, the Indian team ended the match in 26 balls i.e. 4.2 overs.
