Sukhbir Badal performed religious service at Gurdwara Tudi Ganti Sahib

Following the religious punishment imposed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib under his salary, former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal started a two-day service at Sri Muktsar Sahib’s historic Gurdwara Sri Tudi Ganti Sahib as a sevadar holding a spear and serving food at the langar. Meanwhile, he was wearing a blue robe and a plaque with Gurbani verses was worn around his neck.

Sukhbir Badal served as Chobdar from 9 to 10 am at the gate of Gurdwara Tudi Ganti Sahib. After that from 10 to 11 o’clock he performed kirtan sarvan and then from 11 to 12 o’clock he performed the service of cleaning utensils in the langar hall. Meanwhile, along with Sukhbir Badal, Shiromani Akali Dal working president Balwinder Singh Bhundar, former cabinet minister Daljit Singh Cheema, Sucha Singh Langah, Gulzar Singh Ranike, Hira Singh Gabaria also served in the Gurdwara Sahib.

Amid tight security, Sukhbir Badal served for three hours at the Gurdwara Sahib of Sri Muktsar Sahib. Meanwhile, the local leadership of Akali Dal – former MLA from Muktsar of Akali Dal Kanwarjit Singh Rosi Barkandi, former MLA from Malot Harpreet Singh, district president Preetinder Singh Sammewali, former general secretary Jagjit Singh Brar Honey Fattanwala, urban district president Manjinder Singh Bittu and others. The leaders also served.

A heavy police force has been deployed for security

In view of the security of Sukhbir Badal, a large number of police forces were also deployed in the Gurdwara Sahib on this occasion. Meanwhile, every person was being checked and allowed to go ahead. Before the arrival of Sukhbir Badal, strict police security was installed at all the 7 gates of the Gurdwara Sahib.

Metal detector machines were installed at all the gates leading into the Gurdwara Sahib. Pilgrims were being sent in only after checking through the machine. Chitkapadiya police officers and senior police officers including the CID were keeping a sharp watch inside the Gurdwara Sahib. It may be mentioned that after the shooting attack in Sri Harmandir Sahib Amritsar, the security perimeter of Sukhbir Badal has been increased.
