The High Power Committee of the Supreme Court will hold a meeting with farmers on January 3.
The High Power Committee constituted by the Supreme Court regarding farmers’ issues has once again invited the farmers for a meeting on January 3. Farmers from all parties have been called for the meeting. The meeting was held on January 3 at 11 am in the PWD Rest House.

Where the committee will discuss the farmers’ issues in detail and make a strategy. Even before this, the committee has held meetings with farmers and administration officials. But senior leaders of non-political United Kisan Morcha did not appear before this committee. He also wrote a letter and sent it to the committee.
The committee has submitted interim report to the Supreme Court
This committee has been formed by the Supreme Court under the leadership of former judge Nawab Singh. On behalf of the committee, the Supreme Court had submitted an interim report to the Supreme Court in December. In which he had said that the agitating farmers are not coming for talks. Date and time were also asked from the farmers as per their convenience. But there was no response from him. However, the Supreme Court had appreciated the efforts of the High Power Committee.

Farmers’ stand is still not clear
Earlier, the High Power Committee had held a meeting with the administration and farmers in Chandigarh. Officers from Punjab and Haryana also participated in these meetings. At the same time, whether the farmers involved in the struggle will meet the committee this time or not. The situation is not clear on this yet. Earlier, farmers had written a letter regarding this.
